أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أنا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنا زَكَرِيَّا عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ تَقْرَءُونَ {مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصَى بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ} [النساء 12] وَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ قَضَى بِالدَّيْنِ قَبْلَ الْوَصِيَّةِ وَإِنَّ أَعْيَانَ بَنِي الْأُمِّ يَتَوَارَثُونَ دُونَ بَنِي الْعَلَّاتِ
English Translation
Abu Sa'id informed us with his chain: al-Rabi' narrated to us and others; al-Shafi'i said regarding the Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas hadith about the limit of bequest to one-third. Abu Dawud narrated from Imran ibn Husayn about the man who freed six slaves at death and the Prophet divided them into thirds.
