أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا يَحْيَى أنا يَزِيدُ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا وَابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ قَالَا فِي ابْنِ الْمُلَاعَنَةِ تَرَكَ أَخَاهُ وَأُمَّهُ لِلْأَخِ الثُّلُثُ وَلِلْأُمِّ الثُّلُثُ وَقَالَ زَيْدٌ لِلْأَخِ السُّدُسُ وَلِلْأُمِّ الثُّلُثُ وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِبَيْتِ الْمَالِ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us with his chain from Qatadah: Ali and Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them) ruled regarding the child of li'an who left a brother and mother: the brother receives a third and the mother a third. Zayd said: the brother receives a sixth, the mother a third, and the remainder goes to the public treasury.
