English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us with his chain from Muhammad ibn Salim from al-Sha'bi from Ali and Abdullah who said: 'The residuary heir of the child of the woman of li'an is his mother. She inherits all his wealth. If he has no mother, then her agnates are his agnates.' The child of fornication has the same status. Zayd ibn Thabit said: 'The mother receives a third and the remainder goes to the public treasury.'
