أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَا ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فِي السُّدُسِ الَّذِي حَجَبَهُ الْإِخْوَةُ أُمَّهُ هُوَ لِلْإِخْوَةِ وَلَا يَكُونُ لِلْأَبِ إِنَّمَا نُقِصَتْهُ الْأُمُّ لِيَكُونَ لِلْإِخْوَةِ قَالَ ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَعْطَاهُمُ السُّدُسَ فَلَقِيتُ بَعْضَ وَلَدِ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلِ الَّذِي أُعْطِيَ إِخْوَتُهُ السُّدُسَ فَقَالَ بَلَغَنَا أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ وَصِيَّةً لَهُمْ
English Translation
Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us: Abu Abdullah ibn Ya'qub narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Nasr narrated to us: Ishaq and Muhammad ibn Yahya both narrated to us: Abd al-Razzaq informed us: Ma'mar narrated from Ibn Tawus from his father who said: Ibn Abbas said regarding the one-sixth that the siblings blocked their mother from: It is for the siblings, not for the father. The mother's share was only reduced so it would be for the siblings. Ibn Tawus said: I was told that the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave them the one-sixth. I met one of the descendants of that man who was given the one-sixth for his siblings, and he said: We were told it was a bequest for them.
