أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ثنا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ صَلَاةَ أَحَدِكِمْ إِذَا أَحْدَثَ حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ
English Translation
Ali narrated: "If the religion were based on opinion, the bottom of the leather sock would be more deserving of being wiped than the top. But I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) wipe over the top of his leather socks."
