حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الْمَعْنَى وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُرَيْشٌ وَالْأَنْصَارُ وَأَشْجَعُ وَغِفَارٌ وَأَسْلَمُ وَمُزَيْنَةُ وَجُهَيْنَةُ مَوَالِي اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ لَا مَوْلَى لَهُمْ غَيْرَهُ قَالَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ مَوَالِيَّ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ مَوْلًى دُونَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Wakee', from Sufyan; and 'Abd al-Rahman said: Sufyan told us - the meaning is the same - and Abu Nu'aym said: Sufyan told us, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Hurmuz al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Quraysh, the Ansar, Ashja', Ghifar, Aslam, Muzaynah, and Juhaynah are the allies of Allah and His Messenger; they have no patron besides Him." Abu Nu'aym said: "meaning: they have no patron other than Allah and His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him."
