حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ.
English Translation
Affan narrated to us, he said: Salim narrated to us, he said: Sa'id narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Fasting is a shield."
