Arabic (Original)
وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا دَعَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَقُولَنَّ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ وَلَكِنْ لِيُعْظِمْ رَغْبَتَهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَتَعَاظَمُ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ أَعْطَاهُ.
English Translation
With his chain of narration, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "When one of you supplicates, let him not say, 'O God, if You will,' but let him make his request with great earnestness, for nothing that God, Mighty and Majestic, gives is too great for Him."
