حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَازَالَ جِبْرِيلُ يُوصِينِي بِالْجَارِ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيُوَرِّثُهُ.
English Translation
Waki' told us, he said: Yunus — that is, ibn Abi Ishaq — told us, from Mujahid, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Gabriel kept enjoining me about the neighbour until I thought he would make him an heir."
