حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ الْأَعْمَشُ لَا أُرَاهُ إِلَّا قَدْ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ أَمْرٍ قَدْ اقْتَرَبَ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ كَفَّ يَدَهُ وَوَافَقَهُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ubaid narrated to us, who said: al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah. Al-A'mash said: I believe he attributed it to the Prophet, who said: "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near. Successful is the one who restrains his hand." Abu Mu'awiyah corroborated it from Abu Hurairah.
