English Translation
Abu Usamah narrated to us, who said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid ibn Jabir informed me, from Isma'il ibn Ubaidullah, from Abu Salih al-Ash'ari, from Abu Hurairah, from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), that he visited a sick person - and Abu Hurairah was with him - who was suffering from fever. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to him: "Rejoice, for Allah the Mighty and Sublime says: 'It (fever) is My fire, which I inflict upon My believing servant in this world so that it may be his share of the Fire in the Hereafter.'"
