Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادٌ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا كِسْرَى بَعْدَ كِسْرَى وَلَا قَيْصَرَ بَعْدَ قَيْصَرَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَتُنْفَقَنَّ كُنُوزُهُمَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Isma'il - meaning Ibn Abi Khalid - who said: Ziyad narrated to us, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "There will be no Kisra (Persian emperor) after Kisra, and no Caesar after Caesar. By the One in Whose Hand is Muhammad's soul, their treasures will surely be spent in the cause of Allah the Mighty and Sublime."
