English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Shu'bah - if Allah wills - who said: Muhammad ibn Ziyad narrated to us, who said: Marwan used to appoint Abu Hurairah as his deputy over Madinah, and he would stamp his feet saying: "Clear the road, clear the road! The governor has come, the governor has come!" Abu al-Qasim (peace be upon him) said: "Allah does not look at the one who drags his lower garment out of pride."
