حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَمْسَكَ كَلْبًا فَإِنَّهُ يُنْقِصُ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطًا إِلَّا كَلْبَ حَرْثٍ أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ.
English Translation
Isma'il narrated to us, he said: Hisham al-Dastawa'i informed us, he said: Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever keeps a dog, a qirat (portion) of his reward is deducted every day, except a dog for farming or livestock."
