حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ آمَنَ بِي عَشَرَةٌ مِنْ أَحْبَارِ الْيَهُودِ لَآمَنَ بِي كُلُّ يَهُودِيٍّ عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ قَالَ كَعْبٌ اثْنَا عَشَرَ مِصْدَاقُهُمْ فِي سُورَةِ الْمَائِدَةِ.
English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Abu Hilal narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Sirin narrated to us, from Abu Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Had ten of the Jewish rabbis believed in me, every Jew on the face of the earth would have believed in me." Ka'b said: "Twelve - their confirmation is in Surah al-Ma'idah."
