حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ يَعْنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ دَخَلَ عَبْدٌ الْجَنَّةَ بِغُصْنِ شَوْكٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِ طَرِيقِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَأَمَاطَهُ عَنْهُ.
English Translation
Khalaf ibn al-Walid narrated to us, he said: Ibn 'Ayyash - meaning Isma'il - narrated to us, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: "A servant entered Paradise because of a branch of thorns on the path of the Muslims that he removed from it."
