English Translation
'Attab narrated to us, he said: 'Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah informed us, he said: Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Nawfal narrated to me that 'Abdullah ibn Rafi' informed him, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) that he prohibited shooting an animal (with arrows) and then eating it. Rather, it should be slaughtered first, and then they may shoot (for practice) if they wish.
