حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَتَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا تَأْمُرُنِي قَالَ بَرَّ أُمَّكَ ثُمَّ عَادَ فَقَالَ بَرَّ أُمَّكَ ثُمَّ عَادَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَقَالَ بَرَّ أَبَاكَ.
English Translation
Ya'mur ibn Bishr narrated to us, 'Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Ayyub informed us, he said: Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, from Abu Hurayrah who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: "What do you command me?" He said: "Be dutiful to your mother." Then he asked again, and he said: "Be dutiful to your mother." Then he asked a fourth time, and he said: "Be dutiful to your father."
