حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ ذَكْوَانَ أَبُو الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ سَجْدَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ سَجْدَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ.
English Translation
Mu'awiyah narrated to us, he said: Za'idah narrated to us, he said: 'Abdullah ibn Dhakwan Abu al-Zinad narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: "Whoever catches a prostration (rak'ah) before the sun rises has caught the prayer, and whoever catches a prostration (rak'ah) before the sun sets has caught the prayer."
