حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ وَقُتَيْبَةُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عَلَيْكَ السَّمْعَ وَالطَّاعَةَ فِي عُسْرِكَ وَيُسْرِكَ وَمَنْشَطِكَ وَمَكْرَهِكَ وَأَثَرَةٍ عَلَيْكَ وَقَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ الطَّاعَةُ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ السَّمْعَ.
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "You must hear and obey, in times of hardship and ease, in willingness and unwillingness, and even when others are given preference over you."
