English Translation
A man came to Abu Hurayrah and said: 'Are you the one who forbids people from praying with their sandals on?' He said: 'No, but by the Lord of this sanctuary, I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) pray facing this Station (of Ibrahim) with his sandals on, and he left while still wearing them.' And the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade fasting on Friday unless it falls within a series of days.
