حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ { وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ } دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُرَيْشًا فَعَمَّ وَخَصَّ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ قُرَيْشٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ النَّارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ النَّارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ النَّارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ النَّارِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنْ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي وَاللَّهِ مَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَنَّ لَكُمْ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبِلَالِهَا حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَإِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنْ اللَّهِ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا يَعْنِي فَاطِمَةَ عَلَيْهَا السَّلَام.
English Translation
When this verse was revealed: 'And warn your closest kindred,' the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) called the Quraysh, addressing them generally and specifically, saying: 'O people of Quraysh, save yourselves from the Fire! O sons of Ka'b ibn Lu'ayy, save yourselves from the Fire! O sons of Abd Manaf, save yourselves from the Fire! O sons of Hashim, save yourselves from the Fire! O sons of Abd al-Muttalib, save yourselves from the Fire! O Fatimah daughter of Muhammad, save yourself from the Fire! For by Allah, I possess nothing for you from Allah, except that you have ties of kinship which I will moisten with their due.' Husayn narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us from Abd al-Malik from Musa ibn Talhah from Abu Hurayrah who said: When this verse was revealed upon the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), he mentioned its meaning, except that he said: 'I possess for you neither harm nor benefit from Allah' - meaning Fatimah, peace be upon her.
