حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً فَسَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ سُئِلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ فِي الْمَذْيِ الْوُضُوءُ وَفِي الْمَنِيِّ الْغُسْلُ.
English Translation
It was narrated that Hadrat 'Ali (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: I was a man who emitted a great deal of madhi, so I asked the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), or he was asked about that, and he said: “For madhi do wudoo` and for mani do ghusl`
