حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْمُؤْمِنُ يَغَارُ وَاللَّهُ يَغَارُ وَمِنْ غَيْرَةِ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُ شَيْئًا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ.
English Translation
The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The believer has ghayrah (protective jealousy), and Allah has ghayrah. And part of Allah's ghayrah is that a believer commits something Allah has forbidden."
