حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَدْرُونَ مَنْ الْمُفْلِسُ قَالُوا الْمُفْلِسُ فِينَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ لَا لَهُ دِرْهَمَ وَلَا دِينَارَ وَلَا مَتَاعَ قَالَ الْمُفْلِسُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ يَأْتِي بِصَلَاةٍ وَصِيَامٍ وَزَكَاةٍ وَيَأْتِي قَدْ شَتَمَ عِرْضَ هَذَا وَقَذَفَ هَذَا وَأَكَلَ مَالَ هَذَا وَضَرَبَ هَذَا فَيُقْعَدُ فَيَقْتَصُّ هَذَا مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ وَهَذَا مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ فَإِنْ فَنِيَتْ حَسَنَاتُهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْضَى مَا عَلَيْهِ أُخِذَ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُمْ فَطُرِحَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ طُرِحَ فِي النَّارِ و قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَهْدِيٍّ فَيَقْتَصُّ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْضَى مَا عَلَيْهِ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Do you know who the bankrupt person is?" They said: "The bankrupt among us, O Messenger of Allah, is the one who has no dirham and no dinar and no goods." He said: "The bankrupt from my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection is the one who comes with prayer, fasting, and charity, but he comes having insulted this one, slandered that one, consumed the wealth of this one, and beaten that one. So they will be seated, and this one will take from his good deeds and that one from his good deeds. If his good deeds run out before what is owed is settled, their sins will be taken and cast upon him, then he will be cast into the Fire."
