أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ قَالَ ثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ تَمِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَحْلُوفُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَتَى عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ شَهْرٌ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ وَلَا أَتَى عَلَى الْمُنَافِقِينَ شَهْرٌ شَرٌّ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ وَذَلِكَ لِمَا يُعِدُّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ فِيهِ مِنْ الْقُوَّةِ لِلْعِبَادَةِ وَمَا يُعِدُّ فِيهِ الْمُنَافِقُونَ مِنْ غَفَلَاتِ النَّاسِ وَعَوْرَاتِهِمْ هُوَ غَنْمٌ وَالْمُؤْمِنُ يَغْتَنِمُهُ الْفَاجِرُ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said - and it is the oath of the Messenger of Allah: "No month that comes upon the Muslims is better for them than Ramadan, and no month that comes upon the hypocrites is worse for them than Ramadan. That is because the believers prepare in it strength for worship, while the hypocrites prepare in it to take advantage of people's negligence and their vulnerabilities. It is a gain; the believer seizes it, and so does the wicked."
