حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شُبْرُمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُعْدِي شَيْءٌ شَيْئًا لَا يُعْدِي شَيْءٌ شَيْئًا ثَلَاثًا قَالَ فَقَامَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ النُّقْبَةَ تَكُونُ بِمِشْفَرِ الْبَعِيرِ أَوْ بِعَجْبِهِ فَتَشْمَلُ الْإِبِلَ جَرَبًا قَالَ فَسَكَتَ سَاعَةً فَقَالَ مَا أَعْدَى الْأَوَّلَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا صَفَرَ وَلَا هَامَةَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ كُلَّ نَفْسٍ فَكَتَبَ حَيَاتَهَا وَمَوْتَهَا وَمُصِيبَاتِهَا وَرِزْقَهَا.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Nothing transmits disease to another, nothing transmits disease to another, nothing transmits disease to another" - three times. A Bedouin stood and said: "O Messenger of Allah, a scab appears on the lip or tail of a camel and then the entire herd becomes mangy." He was silent for a moment, then said: "What infected the first one? There is no contagion, no evil omen in the month of Safar, and no superstition about owls. Allah created every soul and decreed its life, its death, its afflictions, and its provision."
