Arabic (Original)
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا مَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ لِلنَّاسِ فَلْيُخَفِّفْ الصَّلَاةَ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ الْكَبِيرَ وَفِيهِمْ الضَّعِيفَ وَفِيهِمْ السَّقِيمَ وَإِذَا قَامَ وَحْدَهُ فَلْيُطِلْ صَلَاتَهُ مَا شَاءَ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'When one of you leads people in prayer, let him shorten the prayer, for among them are the elderly, the weak, and the sick. But when he prays alone, let him make his prayer as long as he wishes.'
