Arabic (Original)
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ تَحِلَّ الْغَنَائِمُ لِمَنْ قَبْلَنَا ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ رَأَى ضَعْفَنَا وَعَجَزَنَا فَطَيَّبَهَا لَنَا.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'War spoils were not lawful for those before us. That is because Allah saw our weakness and inability, so He made them lawful for us.'
