حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ إِنِّي أَبِيتُ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When one of you leads the people in prayer, let him keep it light, for among them are the weak, the sick, and the elderly. When one of you prays alone, let him pray as he wishes.'
