حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَقُرِئَ عَلَيْهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَ أَحَدَكُمْ جَارُهُ أَنْ يَغْرِزَ خَشَبَةً فِي جِدَارِهِ فَلَا يَمْنَعْهُ فَلَمَّا حَدَّثَهُمْ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ طَأْطَئُوا رُءُوسَهُمْ فَقَالَ مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ مُعْرِضِينَ وَاللَّهِ لَأَرْمِيَنَّ بِهَا بَيْنَ أَكْتَافِكُمْ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If one of you asks his neighbor for permission to fix a wooden beam in his wall, he should not refuse.' When Abu Hurayrah narrated this to them, they lowered their heads. He said: 'Why do I see you turning away? By Allah, I will certainly throw it between your shoulders (i.e., deliver this message forcefully).'
