English Translation
Abd al-A'la told us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every child is born upon natural disposition; it is his parents who make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Zoroastrian, just as an animal produces a whole animal - do you perceive any deficiency in it?"
