حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ قَيْصَرَ التُّجِيبِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَاءَ شَابٌّ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أُقَبِّلُ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ لَا فَجَاءَ شَيْخٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أُقَبِّلُ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَنَظَرَ بَعْضُنَا إِلَى بَعْضٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ نَظَرَ بَعْضِكُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ إِنَّ الشَّيْخَ يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ.
English Translation
Musa ibn Dawud told us: Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Qaysar al-Tujibi, from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As, who said: We were with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when a young man came and said: O Messenger of Allah, may I kiss my wife while fasting? He said: No. Then an old man came and said: O Messenger of Allah, may I kiss my wife while fasting? He said: Yes. So some of us looked at one another, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I have noticed you looking at one another - the old man is in control of himself.
