حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ.
English Translation
Abu Nu'aym told us: Zakariyya told us, from al-Sha'bi, who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Amr say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Muslim is he from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe, and the emigrant is he who abandons what Allah has forbidden."
