English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated from Sulayman from Abdullah ibn Murrah from Masruq from Abdullah ibn Amr from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: "There are four traits; whoever has them is a hypocrite, and whoever has one of the four traits has a trait of hypocrisy until he abandons it: when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; when he makes a covenant, he betrays it; and when he disputes, he acts immorally."
