حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُغِيرَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ الْغَازِ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ هَبَطْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ أَذَاخِرَ قَالَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا عَلَيَّ رَيْطَةٌ مُضَرَّجَةٌ بِعُصْفُرٍ فَقَالَ مَا هَذِهِ فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ كَرِهَهَا فَأَتَيْتُ أَهْلِي وَهُمْ يَسْجُرُونَ تَنُّورَهُمْ فَلَفَفْتُهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقَيْتُهَا فِيهِ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ الرَّيْطَةُ قَالَ قُلْتُ قَدْ عَرَفْتُ مَا كَرِهْتَ مِنْهَا فَأَتَيْتُ أَهْلِي وَهُمْ يَسْجُرُونَ تَنُّورَهُمْ فَأَلْقَيْتُهَا فِيهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَهَلَّا كَسَوْتَهَا بَعْضَ أَهْلِكَ وَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ حِينَ هَبَطَ بِهِمْ مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ أَذَاخِرَ صَلَّى بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى جَدْرٍ اتَّخَذَهُ قِبْلَةً فَأَقْبَلَتْ بَهْمَةٌ تَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَا زَالَ يُدَارِئُهَا وَيَدْنُو مِنْ الْجَدْرِ حَتَّى نَظَرْتُ إِلَى بَطْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ لَصِقَ بِالْجِدَارِ وَمَرَّتْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ.
English Translation
Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us: Hisham ibn al-Ghaz narrated, Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrated from his father from his grandfather who said: "We descended with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) from the pass of Adhakhir." He said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) looked at me and saw that I was wearing a garment dyed with safflower. He said: 'What is this?' I realized the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) disliked it, so I went to my family while they were heating their oven. I wrapped it up and threw it in. Then I came back to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he said: 'What happened to the garment?' I said: 'I knew what you disliked about it, so I went to my family while they were heating their oven and I threw it in.' He said: 'Why did you not give it to one of your family to wear?'" He also mentioned that when he descended with them from the pass of Adhakhir, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prayed with them facing a wall that he took as a qiblah direction. A young goat came trying to pass in front of the Prophet (peace be upon him), but he kept warding it off and drawing closer to the wall until I could see that the belly of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was pressed against the wall, and the goat passed behind him.
