حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أُرِيدَ مَالُهُ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ فَقَاتَلَ فَقُتِلَ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ وَأَحْسِبُ الْأَعْرَجَ حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ مِثْلَهُ.
English Translation
Abd al-Rahman narrated from Sufyan from Abdullah ibn al-Hasan from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Talhah from Abdullah ibn Amr from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: "Whoever is attacked for his wealth without right and fights back and is killed, he is a martyr." And I believe al-A'raj narrated to me from Abu Hurayrah something similar.
