حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا فَتَرْكُهَا كَفَّارَتُهَا.
English Translation
Abu Sa'id, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us: Khalifah ibn Khayyat narrated to us, Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrated from his father from his grandfather that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever swears an oath and then sees something better than it, leaving it is its expiation."
