حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَمِسْعَرٌ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفْضَلُ الصَّوْمِ صَوْمُ أَخِي دَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا وَيُفْطِرُ يَوْمًا وَلَا يَفِرُّ إِذَا لَاقَى.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma'mar informed us from al-Zuhri from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Indeed the just ones will be with Allah on pulpits of light, to the right of the Most Merciful, the Almighty — and both His hands are right hands — those who are just in their rulings, their families, and whatever they are given authority over.
