English Translation
Ali ibn Hashim ibn al-Barid told us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stoned a Jewish man and a Jewish woman [for adultery]. He said: My father said: I heard from Ali ibn Hashim ibn al-Barid in the year seventy-nine, in the first year I sought hadith, one session; then I returned to him for another session, and he had died - and that was the year in which Malik ibn Anas died.
