English Translation
Ya'la ibn Ubayd told us: al-A'mash told us, from Ibrahim, from Abu al-Sha'tha, who said: It was said to Ibn Umar: We go in to our rulers and say a certain thing, and when we come out we say something else. He said: We used to consider this, in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to be hypocrisy.
