English Translation
It was narrated that Abu `Ubaid, the freed slave of Hadrat 'Abdur Rahman bin `Awf, said: Then I saw `Hadrat Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be well pleased with him) after that on the day of Eid; he started with the prayer before the khutbah and he prayed with no adhan or iqamah. Then he said: I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbidding (the people) to leave any of the meat of their sacrifice after three days.
