حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قُعَيْسٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَيَكُونُ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ يَأْمُرُونَكُمْ بِمَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ فَمَنْ صَدَّقَهُمْ بِكِذْبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ وَلَنْ يَرِدَ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ.
English Translation
Aswad ibn 'Amir told us: Abu Bakr, that is Ibn 'Ayyash, informed us, from al-'Ala' ibn al-Musayyab, from Ibrahim ibn Qu'ays, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There will be rulers over you who command you to do what they themselves do not do. Whoever believes their lies and helps them in their wrongdoing is not of me, and I am not of him, and he will never come to me at the Basin."
