English Translation
Safwan ibn Isa told us, Usamah ibn Zayd informed us, from Nafi', from Abdullah ibn Umar, that when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, returned from Uhud, he heard the women of the Ansar weeping over their husbands, and he said: But Hamzah has no women weeping for him. That reached the women of the Ansar, so they came and wept over Hamzah. He said: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, awoke during the night and heard them weeping, and said: Woe to them, have they not stopped weeping since tonight? Tell them to go back and not weep for anyone who has died from today onward.
