حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ وَابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَا أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى أَعْوَادِ الْمِنْبَرِ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ عَنْ وَدْعِهِمْ الْجُمُعَاتِ أَوْ لَيَخْتِمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَيُكْتَبُنَّ مِنْ الْغَافِلِينَ.
English Translation
Yazid told us, Hisham al-Dastuwa'i informed us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Sallam, from al-Hakam ibn Mina, that Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas related that they both heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say upon the pulpit: Let peoples truly stop abandoning the Friday prayers, or Allah will surely seal their hearts, and they will surely be recorded among the heedless.
