حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنْ إِمْسَاكِ الْكَلْبِ فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَمْسَكَهُ نَقَصَ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ.
English Translation
Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, Abu al-Zubayr told us: I asked Jabir about keeping a dog, and he said: Ibn Umar informed me that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever keeps one, two qirats will be deducted from his reward every day."
