حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْوَرْسِ وَالزَّعْفَرَانِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ قُلْتُ لَهُ يَعْنِي الْمُحْرِمَ قَالَ نَعَمْ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Hajjaj told us, they said: Shu'bah told us, from Abdullah ibn Dinar: I heard Ibn Umar narrate that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade wars and saffron. Shu'bah said: I said to him, meaning for the one in ihram? He said, "Yes."
