حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا رَجَعَ مِنْ أُحُدٍ فَجَعَلَتْ نِسَاءُ الْأَنْصَارِ يَبْكِينَ عَلَى مَنْ قُتِلَ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِنَّ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَكِنْ حَمْزَةُ لَا بَوَاكِيَ لَهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ نَامَ فَاسْتَنْبَهَ وَهُنَّ يَبْكِينَ قَالَ فَهُنَّ الْيَوْمَ إِذًا يَبْكِينَ يَنْدُبْنَ بِحَمْزَةَ.
English Translation
Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us: Usamah ibn Zayd narrated to me: Nafi' narrated to me, from Ibn Umar, that when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, returned from Uhud, the women of the Ansar began weeping over their husbands who had been killed. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: But Hamzah has no women weeping for him. He said: Then he slept and woke while they were still weeping. He said: So from that day they weep and lament for Hamzah.
