English Translation

Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar told us, from Ali ibn Zayd ibn Jud'an, from al-Qasim ibn Rabi'ah, from Ibn Umar — Abd al-Razzaq said: sometimes he would say 'Ibn Muhammad' and sometimes 'Ibn Rabi'ah' — who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, while standing on the steps of the Ka'bah: 'Praise be to Allah who fulfilled His promise, aided His servant, and defeated the confederates alone. Indeed, every claim of honor that existed in the pre-Islamic era is now beneath my feet today, except for the custodianship of the House and the provision of water for the pilgrims. Indeed, what lies between intentional killing, killing by mistake, and killing with a whip or a stone, its blood-money is one hundred camels, forty of which are pregnant.'
