حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَنَا شَيْخٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ نَجْرَانَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا الَّذِي يَجُوزُ فِي الرَّضَاعِ مِنْ الشُّهُودِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ أَوْ امْرَأَةٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ عَنْ مُعْتَمِرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُثَيْمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَعْنِي بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us: A shaykh from the people of Najran informed us: Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Baylamani told me, from his father, from Ibn Umar, that he asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — or that a man asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — and said: 'What is permissible as witnesses regarding breastfeeding?' The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'A man, or a woman.' Ibn Abi Shaybah told us, from Mu'tamir, from Muhammad ibn Uthaym, from Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman, relating this hadith.
